Simple, yet interesting design ideas make this small and narrow space work well. The ice cream scoop wall vinyl was custom made by Joanne Palmisano and Susan Teare, using vintage ice cream scoops and the shop's own ice cream. Local wood, painted in shades of white, black and natural tones, and the extra large "old school" floor vinyl tiles add some fun. Metal stools and a narrow table made from reclaimed wood are just enough space for customers to enjoy their cones, while allowing others to order up at the counter.
Affordable solutions were created when it came to designing the spaces. In this lobby, the counter was made with vintage doors, and a chicken coop serves as shelving. A ladder for magazines and "take and leave" bookshelves are a huge hit. All budget-friendly accommodation design ideas that made for fun, interesting and unique spaces that the guests love.
